Research Interests

Generative morphology, word-formation, the study of lexicon: Focusing on the unit "word", I investigate how knowledge of the native language is stored in the mind and how it is employed, from the viewpoints both of theoretical linguistics, which investigates the linguistic phenomena reflecting the knowledge of speakers, and of experimental cognitive psychology and cognitive neuroscience, which includes the measurement of reaction times or brain waves.
